Paula Aranoa (Buenos Aires, 1966, Argentina) is an Argentine photographer with a background in philosophy. She studied fashion design at the Escola de la Dona (Barcelona) and trained in photography through programs and workshops at the Escuela Argentina de Fotografía and Escuela DOM, where she worked on portfolio editing with Diego Ortiz Mugica. She continued her training in workshops with Vivian Galbán and Ana Sánchez Zinny, and in the Personal Essay Workshop with Dr. Sofía Discala.
Her work has been exhibited in solo shows in Madrid (Espacio Mados, 2025) and Mar del Plata (Espacio Cabrales, 2026), and she has participated in group exhibitions in cities such as New York, Paris, Barcelona, Bregenz, Munich, and Buenos Aires, in venues including Agora Gallery, Salon National des Beaux-Arts, FotoNostrum, and Sylvia Jaschek Gallery. She also regularly participates in international art fairs such as Pinta BAphoto, ArtExpo New York, and ARTMUC.
She has received numerous international awards and recognitions, including the Jean Larivière First Prize (France, 2024), the Gold Medal at the Black & White Awards (United Kingdom, 2024), the Lucie Foundation First Prize (United States, 2023), and the Julia Cameron First Prize (Spain, 2023), as well as distinctions from the Minimalist Photography Awards, Pollux Awards, and LensCulture.
Her work has been published in specialized media outlets such as Lenscratch, AAP Magazine, Caption Magazine, Musée Magazine, Photographize, and B&W Minimalism Magazine, among others. One of her works is part of the collection of the Salon National des Beaux-Arts in Paris. She is a Sony Alpha partner.
He participado activamente en ferias y exposiciones, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional. La ONU ha exhibido algunas de mis fotos en tres ocasiones. Tuve el honor de ver mi trabajo publicado en diferentes libros y revistas de renombre internacional. También he colaborado con seminarios de Sony Alpha Latin.
